👋 Hello there
My name is Juha Ala-Rantala and I'm a Software Engineer based in Seinäjoki, Finland.
I'm currently working at Tampere University as a Research Assistant on the GPT Lab and GPT Lab Seinäjoki -projects. My primary responsibilities include researching the application of large language models (LLMs) to benefit local companies by exploring innovative ideas and solutions.
I'm also currently studying at Tampere University pursuing a Master's degree in Information Technology, with a focus on web-based information systems. I am a Bachelor of Engineering graduate from Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, where I focused on software development and received the max grade (five) for my thesis.
I have almost five years of experience working as a Software Engineer, designing user interfaces, developing internal tools and maintaining existing products.
On my free time I like to hang out with friends, go to the gym, play games, create content, work on my side projects and order kebab from El Cebo. I also need to mention burger fridays at Holy Smoke!
